Fire & the Community
The Hollister Fire Department is committed to the education
of the community and hosts fire service courses through the
South Bay Regional Public Safety Consortium. Courses included
are:
- Firefighter I Academy twice a year
Department education includes:
- Station tours
- Education on Natures
Wrath
- Safe kids campaign
- Fire prevention week
- Safe house
- Assisting the San Benito Fire Safe Council (www.sbfsc.org)
The Department receives assignments from time to time that
include;
- Color guards
- Parade processions
- Career day
Hollister Fire
participates in the Firefighter Toy Drive program every Christmas.
Hollister Fire Union
Local 3395 sponsors a Scholarship for people interested in

A city park was
dedicated to former Fire Chief - the late Antonio
“Tony” Aguirre. (Dedicated August
7, 2000). Located on the corner of Bridgeville and West Graff.
