The Finance Department is responsible for the financial management and reporting on the results of operation for the City’s various funds, projects, assessment districts, budgets, and departments. In that capacity the department processes the City’s water and sewer utilities bills and collects the remittances. The Department also prepares and administers the City’s payroll system, from time card data entry through check issuance. The Finance Department also prepares quarterly federal and state tax forms. In addition, Finance issues invoices for its accounts receivable, and maintains records for all outstanding amounts owed to the City. All disbursements, by check and by cash, are administered and handled by Finance for both the City of Hollister and The Redevelopment Agency funds.

Business License Ordinance administration and operation is assigned to the Finance.
