Certain classes of areas designated by the primary symbol “S,” and referred as special zoning areas or “S” areas, are established to provide for site and architectural regulation, review and approval prior to development for both on and off-site improvements.  In addition the height, width, shape, proportions and exterior construction design of buildings and other structures are evaluated to insure architectural compatibility with surrounding areas and to promote unified and distinct development within areas.
