The Public Works Department
is responsible for planning, design, construction,
operation, and maintenance of all City of Hollister
Infrastructure. The Department consists four sections
– Engineering,
Operations and
Maintenance, Utilities,
and the Hollister
Muncipal Airport.
General Section Descriptions:
Engineering Section
Responsible for infrastructure planning, design,
and construction. The Engineering Section also
issues encroachment permits, oversize vehicle
permits, plus it responds to traffic concerns
and requests.
Operations and Maintenance
Section
Responsible for maintenance of streets, storm
drainage facilities, buildings and grounds, parks,
and the City fleet.
Utilities Section
Responsible for water and wastewater planning,
operations, and maintenance. Water and wastewater
billing information is available from the City
Finance Department.
Airport Section
Responsible for operations and maintenance of
the Hollister Municipal Airport.
